Today's Lunch

Got up late and was in hurry to get to the mountain so this is my standard lunch on the go... A chorizo sandwich and a coke...perfect for eating on the metro ride to anywhere...this is the inside of the metro stop by my apartment....

I stopped for an hour to lie on a bench and read. This gorgeous young couple were sunbathing and chatting on their blanket when I got there. When I got up to leave they were sitting like this.... Using each other to prop the other up and both reading their separate books. It sort of made me swoon in cuteness envy....so I snuck a photo.

This place is supposed to be known for its beautiful gardens to descend down the mountain through...There were beautiful trees, fountains, and sculpture, however these were amongst the few flowers I saw. :)

Dinner at Mauro's

Mauro my new Italian friend was nice enough to make pasta for Kasia and I at his place. A great way to end the day. We had Manchego, Prosciutto, Green Olives to start and spaghetti with tomato and olives for the main dish and two bottles of Rioja.
